Navigon 2100 Max Q1 2010 Maps available for download with a twist!

Navigon, despite pulling out of the US market (for PNDs), released Q1 2010 map updates for us, Navigon lovers! If you straight out went and upgraded to the latest Q1 2010 map updates (given that you bought Navigon Fresh subscription), it will fail. Navigon cites that map sizes have increased this time around and you NEED a 4GB SD card instead of the 2GB that comes bundled with most Navigon GPS devices.

Steps to follow :

1. Get a 4GB SD or microSD card (you have to use a microSD to SD adapter if you have a microSD card)

2. Restore your current Map data by plugging in your Navigon 2100 Max and choosing restore/backup in Navigon Fresh maps software on your Windows machine.

3. Once the backup is done, connect your 4GB card to your PC and restore the backup on to that card, again by using Navigon Fresh Maps software -> restore/backup.

4. Voila, you have now updated your Navigon 2100 Max to the freshest offerings by Navigon – Q1 2010..

Google’s YouTube has been generous enough to show all 60 IPL matches LIVE for everyone in the world EXCEPT for those living in the United States. Why? Since Willow TV snatched the rights for IPL 2010 in the US.

Time and Date this incident occurred : 3rd July, 8:52 PM.

Nature of the Issue : Apple shipped me a damaged iPhone and an assistant store manager @ Menlo Park Apple Retail Store (Anthony Cuni) lied that neither his team nor himself were trained to handle such cases. They offered to sell a new iPhone instead!

Course of Action : I called Corporate Customer care and narrated the incident. They promised to enforce / teach them Apple standards. Apple representative apologized saying that the whole point of a retail store is to minimize the repair time. She also confirmed that every Apple employee at a retail store are trained to swap a defective iPhone. Anthony Cuni lied and is going to get his ass kicked by the nice folks at Apple Corporate.

Rapidshare Silently Yanks Referral Money – No more EUROS guys, Stop using Rapidshare, Use other FREE Alternatives!

Rapidshare had a referral scheme offering upto 20 Euros per referral. They had a clever stock like fluctuating value for the points you earn. They had the scheme up for few months and they silently yanked it all of a sudden. They called it a service in testing phase but depleting the already accumulated points without notice is not acceptable! They earned all the referrals and finally decided to keep the referral ca$h – greedy **$*****.

Contact their support team at support@rapidshare.com and express your concerns and yeah, they still have their crappy rewards promo where you can exchange some of your referral points in exchange for their lousy merchandise, that too only once per lifetime per account – silly, isn’t it?
